I recently finished a series of circles for Home Farm Trust (HFT Leeds), and am doing another with a 25 year-old man with learning difficulties;.
There’s been a teatime club at Belle Isle in Leeds; Myhtbusters (again!) at Scargill House; finding our feet for a regular community circle at Haxby Methodist Church, York; and an out of school club at the Courtyard Project, Goole.
Out of school projects with Re’new, Leeds; a drum circle to round off a one-day Taiko workshop (!); a fun-filled celebrating-good-OFSTED report day at a local primary school; a circle during Fair Trade Week at Rosedale Abbey Primary; workshop with adults with Learning difficulties at Lancaster and Morecambe College.
Two drum circles at York Carnival on 4th May - all welcome! http://www.yorkcarnival.org/ , and just had a great time at a ‘Better Now’ party for a woman celebrating the end of her chemotherapy treatment;.
Looking forward to training facilitators for North Yorkshire County Council; working with special needs adults in Hull; a leaders day for Girl Guiding North East England; a team/fun day for Connect Housing Association.
Drum circles in my home town, Morley, Leeds, on 21 June and 19 July, and a demo near Harrogate with CAAB to mark Independence from America Day on 4th July.
I’m already booked for return visits to Friends of Gledhow Valley Woods Fun Day 2008 and Chapel Allerton Arts Festival 2008, both in Leeds, and I’ve just confirmed being the drum circle man at Dance Camp North http://www.dancecampnorth.org.uk/ - a week of fresh air and fun in Northern England, and I’ll be at (Kirkby in) Ashfield Carnival on 16th August.
Just had a call from the National Railway Museum, York - will I return for the third successive year to do drum circles at their ‘Please Touch’ special accessibility day? Yes! What was the question, again? (It’ll be on 7th June)
